Aleix Vidal returns to RCD Espanyol

//

Aleix Vidal is a new RCD Espanyol player. The player, represented by Promoesport, is the third reinforcement of the 'perico' club for the next campaign and arrives on a free transfer after concluding his contract with Sevilla FC at the end of the 2020-2021 season. The player signs for two seasons with an additional optional season.

The full-back is well-known in Cornellà, as he graduated from the youth academy during his time as a reserve team player. He even played for Espanyol's reserve team in the 2008-2009 season. Later, he undertook a new challenge in Greece with Panathinaikos.

Aleix has also excelled in the ranks of Almeria, Sevilla FC, FC Barcelona and, especially, in Alaves, where he spent two seasons on loan before returning to the team of Nervión. There he played a total of 29 games, scored two goals and provided 5 assists. His numbers support his recruitment on the right-wing of the team managed by Vicente Moreno.

The player from Tarragona can play both as a winger and as a right-winger. His versatility, as well as his experience, excite the club ahead of this new season.
