Vicente Moreno, new Osasuna coach

Club Atlético Osasuna announced the signing of Vicente Moreno, represented by Promoesport, as their new coach. Moreno, 49, arrives at the Navarrese club on a one-season contract.

The Valencian is a coach who has achieved two promotions to the First Division, with R.C.D. Espanyol and R.C.D. Mallorca. He also has two other promotions to the Second Division, one with Mallorca, which he took from the bronze to the gold category in two years, and another with Gimnàstic de Tarragona. He began his coaching career immediately after retiring as a player.

The new coach will take the reins of the team immediately and is expected to start planning the pre-season, as well as possible additions to the squad to strengthen the areas he deems necessary.

Moreno's debut as a coach was in 2011 with Xerez CD, then he went to Gimnàstic de Tarragona and then came his successful seasons at the hands of RCD Mallorca and RCD Espanyol. In 2022 he managed Al-Shabab of Saudi Arabia and his most recent club was UD Almería.
