Calafiori signs for FC Basel

Riccardo Calafiori, represented by Promoesport, has become a new FC Basel player. The left-back and Italy U21 international has signed a three-year contract until the summer of 2024, with an option for a further season.
Calafiori, who made 18 appearances and scored one goal for AS Roma, stands out for his aggressiveness and effectiveness in attacking phases, with vast qualities that allow him to perform also as a full winger or even as a central defender.
"I'm very happy about the move to FCB. I have only heard good things about the club, the team and the passionate FCB fans from Sebastiano Esposito. I am a young player with ambitions who still has a lot to learn but wants to win trophies in this shirt in the future," said Calafiori on his arrival in Switzerland.
