Luis Jesús Rioja, represented by Promoesport, is a new Valencia CF player. The attacker signs a 2-year contract and arrives from Deportivo Alavés.
Rioja is a left-footed winger, who plays with natural legs and stands out for his verticality, overflow and unbalanced play. After many years playing at a high level at Alavés, where he is already among the players with the most First Division appearances in the history of the club, the Andalusian player makes the leap to Valencia CF, where he arrives with the aim of making a place for himself in the team and being able to get the best out of it.
Trained in the Sevillian side Cabecense of his hometown, his talent came to the eyes of Real Madrid who incorporated him into their youth academy in 2013. Later he would go through the Celta de Vigo youth team to finish nurturing himself as a footballer and thus take the step to the professional football with Almería in 2018. His great performances quickly attracted the attention of La Liga clubs, and just a year later he would make the leap to the top flight with Alavés. In his 5 years with the Basque team he has become the cornerstone of the club, contributing notable amounts of goals and assists each year.
