The Olympic Games begins in Promoesport

//

Today, July 24, the thirty-third edition of the largest multi-sports event in the world begins with football being the first sport to start. Juanlu SánchezIlaix Moriba, Moussa Diakité and José de León, represented by Promoesport, will seek Olympic glory with their respective countries.

Juanlu Sánchez, Sevilla's right back, will be fighting the gold with Spain. The Sevillian player has gone through all the youth teams of the Spanish national team and at 20 years old, he has already established himself in the Sevilla FC first team. With him, Spain will seek the second gold medal in its history after losing the last final against Brazil.

Ilaix Moriba, a 21-year-old Guinean midfielder, will be the star of the Guinea national team. The Leipzig jewel made his debut at just 18 years old in the First Division with Barcelona and this last season he played for Getafe. With Guinea, he has already played in 2 African Cups despite his age. He will participate in these Olympic Games after being the author of the goal that gave them qualification for the tournament in the play-off game of the qualifiers.

Moussa Diakité, a powerful 20-year-old midfielder of Cádiz CF, has been called up to the Mali national team. The powerful African team, with great successes in international youth tournaments, will participate 20 years later in a major tournament after qualifying as a semi-finalist team in the African Nations Championship. Ahead, Diakité will have to face Israel, Japan and Paraguay in the group stage to achieve one of the two places in the knockout rounds.

On the other hand, José de León, a skilled winger for Deportivo Alavés who is also 20 years old, will be part of the Dominican Republic squad. The growing Caribbean team will make its debut in a major tournament after being a finalist in the last North American championship thanks to an epic victory in a penalty shootout that gave it them this precious spot. In the group stage, José will face Uzbekistan, Spain and Egypt, where they will seek to make their debut in the best way: moving to the final rounds.

From Promoesport we wish our players great success in this spectacular event and, above all, we wish them to enjoy this unique experience.
