Diego Gonzalez renews with Elche until 2024

The defender represented by Promoesport, Diego González, has renewed his contract with Elche until 2024. The centre-back from Chiclana completed his second season with Elche, where he has played 50 games.
González has made a total of 28 appearances in LaLiga Santander this past season, a competition he knows well after having competed 70 times in it. First with Sevilla, then with Málaga and in recent years with Elche. This season 2021/2022 he has performed at a high level and has stood out for his great passing quality, with an average of 34.94 passes completed per game.
Diego Gonzalez is an experienced 27-year-old centre-back who was trained in the youth academy of his homeland, Cadiz, and from there he went on to play for different teams in Andalusian football such as Granada, Sevilla and Malaga. He was also an international with the lower categories of the Spanish national team and played in the 2017 European Under-21 Championship with La Rojita.
