Rayo Vallecano goalkeeper
Stole Dimitrievski has been
called up by the North Macedonian national team for EURO 2020. The goalkeeper has 37 caps for his country's senior national team and recently reached 100 appearances in the Spanish second division.
Dimitrievski, represented by
Promoesport, has made a total of 30 appearances for Rayo Vallecano this season. The Macedonian
has kept ten clean sheets and conceded 29 goals, and is currently
in the fight for promotion with Rayo Vallecano. The team beat Castellón (0-2) last Monday and they need to match or improve on Sporting Gijón's result next Sunday to qualify for the play-offs for promotion to the Primera División.
This will be the
first time the national team has qualified for a major tournament. The big test for the team coached by Igor Angelovski will be to get through the group stage, where they have been drawn against Austria, Ukraine and the Netherlands.
The goalkeeper's safety and saves will be key to North Macedonia's EURO ambitions. If they continue to perform as well as they have in the league, they have a bright future ahead of them.
Congratulations and let's go for it!
