Paula Nicart retires after a great career

Paula Nicart, player of Sevilla FC Femenino and represented by Promoesport, has announced her retirement from football. The central defender from Cornellà de Llobregat has communicated that she has been forced to take this sad decision due to the injury she suffered in her left knee.
The defender has not been able to overcome the pain that prevents her from continuing to enjoy football to the full. Paula Nicart started out in the youth academy in her home town and joined FC Barcelona when she was only 14yo as a U-19 player. The Catalan player says goodbye with a more than enviable career in the Liga Iberdrola, playing in 5 teams: Levante Las Planas, Sant Gabriel, Valencia, Espanyol and finally Sevilla. In addition, she had been called up for the U17 European champion and international with the senior team.
