Copa América debut against Colombia. It was the first matchday of the Ecuadorian national team in the group stage of the championship organised by CONMEBOL.
The footballer represented by
Promoesport has played in the youth ranks of the Ecuadorian national team (U-17 and U-20) and made his appearance with the senior team in the first match of the 'tricolor' in the Copa America 2021. Estupiñán played all 90 minutes and had a clear scoring chance from a dead ball in the 52nd minute of the match.
Ecuador will have a rest on the second day of the tournament but will play again next Sunday in the next group stage match, this time against Venezuela. The 'Vinotinto', badly affected by the outbreak of the coronavirus in their ranks, will be the second test for Pervis, who is aiming to play a key role in his team's success after winning the Europa League.
