Aleix Vidal scored the first goal in the 2-2 draw between Real Betis and RCD Espanyol. The full-back found the net twenty months later and
scored his first goal with the ‘pericos’.
The Catalan defender, after a recovery from the team's high pressing, took advantage of an excellent pass to appear in the box and send the ball into the back of the net. The player celebrated the goal euphorically, as he knew how much it meant.
Landry Dimata, also represented by
Promoesport, came on the pitch a few minutes before the end with the aim of creating chances in attack that eventually led to the final 2-2.
Aleix Vidal, at 32 years of age, is destined to become an important player in
Vicente Moreno's system. After years of experience and with a proven track record, the defender put in another complete performance. The next match will be this Wednesday against Alavés.
