The footballer
Edgar Méndez, represented by
Promoesport, has put an end to his time at
Deportivo Alavés and has signed for
Club Nexaca. The canary
striker says goodbye to the
babazorro team after 3 and a half seasons with
two different stages in Vitoria, adding a
total of 118 games and 15 goals. A remarkable performance being one of the offensive references this season,
with 32 games in LaLiga.
The Tenerife-born player is leaving for la Liga BBVA MX to compete with "los rayos" from Aguascalientes for the start of the Apertura 2022. It is a competition he knows well as he already had a previous spell in Mexican football with Cruz Azul between 2017 and 2020, in which he played 101 games with 16 goals. He also won 3 titles: Copa MX, Mexican Super Cup and the Leagues Cup.
At 32 years old, he faces this new experience in his long football career, which has taken him from the youth academy of Real Madrid, through the youth team of Betis, to clubs like Almería, Tenerife, Granada or Alavés.
