Fran Vélez signs for Al-Fateh of Saudi Arabia

The footballer represented by Promoesport, Fran Vélez, has been officially presented as the new player of Al-Fateh of the Saudi Professional League (SPL). After playing the last two seasons with Panathinaikos in the Greek league, where he has performed at an excellent level, the defender is embarking on a new adventure in his career in Saudi Arabia.
Born in Tarragona 31 years ago, he began his career in Nàstic's youth academy and went on to play for UD Logroñés and UD Almería B, before making his first-team debut in LaLiga Santander. After four seasons with the Andalusian side he signed for Wisla Krakow and in 2018 he arrived in Greek football with Aris Thessaloniki, where he stayed until he signed for Panathinaikos in 2020.
Fran Vélez made 35 appearances for the Athenian side this season, being an undisputed starter in all of them. He has established himself as a key player at the back and has been a key player for the Greek club to win the last edition of the Greek Cup, a title they had not won for 8 years.
Now, with more than 300 games and almost 24,000 minutes under his belt as a professional footballer, Fran Vélez is embarking on this new experience in one of the league's historic teams.
